Graveside funeral services for Marjorie Ruth Williamson, 89, currently of Lubbock, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the family plot in Portales Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary and officiated by Pastor Brad Morgan. Marjorie’s body will be laid to eternal rest beside her husband, Ted, and near son, Ted, Jr. Pallbearers are all her friends and neighbors. Honorary pallbearers are Kyle Dillard, Wiley Teel, Milz Bickley, Bobby Gresham, Dick Bresenham, Ed O’Rear, and Jim Warnica. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Milnesand Fire Department or Dora Fire Department.
Marjorie Ruth (Bertram) Williamson was born June 9, 1929 in Crobyton, TX, and passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at 1:35 p.m. on Tuesday, January, 29, 1929, in her apartment in the Memory Care unit of Raider Ranch, Lubbock, Tx, where she lived the last thirteen months of her life. Marjorie lived the previous seventy years in the family home in Milnesand, NM, where she and her husband of fifty years, Ted, raised their family and managed their ranch.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; older son, Ted, Jr. (Teddy); her parents, William Earnest and Ruth (George) Bertram; her brother, William Earnest Bertram, Jr. and her sister, Wilma Eloise (Bertram) Parkinson.
Marjorie is survived by her younger son Jim and spouse Patricia of Lubbock, TX; grandson Jim, Jr. and great-grandsons Wesley Joseph and Benjamin Thomas of Santa Fe, NM; grandson Matthew T.J. and spouse Elizabeth of Cozumel, Mexico; grandson Mark J. and spouse Heather and great-grandson Blake Joseph and great-granddaughter Shelby Ann of San Antonio, TX; and daughter-in-law Elizabeth Ann Tabor of Ft. Smith, AR.
The family wishes to thank Brandon Arnett and the loving and exemplary staff of Raider Ranch, especially Angie and Alencia; Area Community Hospice Inc. Inc. especially Nancy, Marcy Medina, Daniella, and Audie; and all of Marjorie’s doctors, especially Dr. Isaac Tafur, Dr. William Boothe, Dr. Angela Ferguson, and Dr. Shannon Tapia.
